Where is the pool?

Fun in the sun!

Yeah! It's summer! Today we all went out on the back porch to play in the sun. Casey filled up the pool so Samuel could play in the water and then we sat outside and watched him. I think he was out of the pool more then he was in! He loved walking around and being silly.

I loved the way his wet little feet left marks on the porch! It was so sweet I had to take a picture!
Is this not the cutest face!

Happy Father's Day

Here are some pictures of us celebrating Father's Day. Casey had to work in the morning so only me and Samuel went to eat. When Casey got home we went over to the Smith's house to wish David a happy Father's Day.

This is Samuel's first attempt to color! He did such a good job! ;) Well, he at least made a mark on the paper before he tried to eat the crayon.

Here he is eating his yummy Mac & Cheese from Aunt Liz.

Aunt Liz is going to eat me!

On Father's Day Samuel and I went out to eat with Daddy, Elizabeth, Aunt Ellen, and Papa Bo.  Samuel was not very happy to sit in the car seat for an hour and then have to sit in a high chair after that!  But Aunt Liz was able to make him happy for a little while!

Dad playing with Samuel

The other day we were all playing together when samuel thought it would be fun to stand up in the little rocking chair.  Casey picked him up and made him laugh so hard!  It was so cute!  I went to get the camera.  This is what happens when Dad and Samuel play

Fun with Samuel and Alle

The other day Courtney and Chris brought Alle over so I could Babysit her for a few hours.  They were having so much fun pushing each other around on Samuel's truck.  I just had to get it on video so everyone could watch.

Hair Cut!

Tuesday, May 29, 2007 is the date of Samuel's first hair cut! He was so good! Casey took off all his clothes and sat him on the table. I then put my big blue cape around him. He thought this was great fun! He started clapping his hands! Casey started spraying him down with water and some sprayed in his face, this he found to be hilarious! I figured he wouldn't like it but he did! So it started off good and then it stayed that way! I thought he would cry but he was a big boy! A few times Casey had to hold his head because I was afraid I might cut him but other than that it went wonderfully! After it was done Casey and I both said almost at the same time "He looks like a big boy now!" It was amazing how cutting off little stringy hairs can make him look more like a kid and less like a baby!

"Mom I am hungry!"

I think Samuel might have been trying to tell me something here! On Tuesday morning after I came home from taking my post licence test (which I passed!) Casey was laying on the couch and I was doing little things, Samuel walked over to the cabinet and opened to door. He then started to pull everything out! When he got to the bread he started bitting on the bag I started laughing.

I knew I had to first get my camera and then feed the poor hungry baby son! I loved this picture because it captured the look perfectly! I think he is thinking of chugging down the Pam spray! I am not so sure about how that would have turned out.

Once I cleaned up the mess I snapped this picture because he was being so sweet hugging me! Right after that I fed him!

Basket fun

Oh, the fun you can have in a basket full of toys! Samuel climbed in here on his own and I put all of the toy around him!

Looking for an escape rout here. What is the best way to get over the edge?

No better way but over the side head first!

Wonderful! He made it out! Now him can use the basket as a drum!

Or a race track for his favorite car!

Happy Birthday Alle!

On the 19th of May we went to Alle's 1 year birthday party! It was at a park and it was a wonderful day! Samuel taught Alle how to play in the grass and to eat sticks. Something Magda knows how to do without being taught! :)

After present time Samuel and Alle got in the pool. This is their favorite summer game! They get in and splash each other until neither one can see. Then Samuel tries to put leaves and dirt in the pool. Time to get out once the pool in all nasty!

Here is a group picture of me and Samuel, Ashly and Adrianna, Renita and Jamie, and Courtney and Alle. All of the babies were so fun to watch together. Samuel found tiny Adrianna very interesting and wanted to touch her the whole day.
Birthdays are so much fun!

Off to the Races!

The day after our hot day at the park the whole family went to see Christopher race his dirt bike. We drove and drove and drove... it felt like we would never get to the track but finally we made it! It took us a little less then an hour! But once we were there it was fun! We got there at 7pm but Christopher didn't race until about 9pm. He did really good! He came in 2nd!

After that race he had a second race but he came out and told us that it would not be for 14 more heats! Which is how many we had waited to see him race in the first one! At that point we knew we could not stay. Samuel and Alle were being good but things were going down hill and they both looked very tired. So we decided to go home. The thing is that Casey, David, me, and Samuel rode together in our car and Chris, Courtney, Sharon, and Alle rode in their car. Sharon and David wanted to stay to support Christopher but the rest of us needed to leave. So Chris, Courtney, Casey, me, Samuel, and Alle all rode home in our car!

I was squeezed in between Samuel and Alle's car seat, Chris was all the way in the back sitting in the trunk, and Casey and Courtney sat all comfortably in the front sets! Oh what a fun hour that was! :) All and all it was a very fun night! It was very interesting to see the race and how fast and high the bikes go. I took a video but I still can't figure out how to get it on here. Oh well, someday I will learn. And most importantly Christopher won his 2nd race! Yeah! He is really very good at it, he had only raced a few times before that night.

Day at the park

Sorry it has been so long! I am going to try and make up for it by doing 4 posts!
On May 11, Samuel and I went to the park on what seem like at the time the hottest day ever!! We had a lot of fun and were very exhausted. Samuel had a good time in the sand(of course) but he did freak out a little when I tried to put him in the water.

When we were done with the sand I took a walk and Samuel got to relax in the stroller and drink some juice. After I had walked enough we played in the shade(thank God!). Samuel was have a good time in the swing and sliding but then I saw a little tunnel to crawl through and figured he would love it and sure enough he did! He was probably in it for 30 min. without coming out! It was great! He would crawl from one end to the other and laugh and talk to himself the whole time. I now know what to get him for his next birthday!

Happy Mother's Day (we know it's a little early)

Today we celebrated Mother's Day because my Momma will be out of town on the real day.
It was a beautiful day to be outside so the idea popped into my head to go to Acworth Beach and have a picnic. Off we went, Momma(Gigi), Aunt Liz, Samuel, and I. They came and picked Samuel and I up around 3pm and we went to Publix to get sub sandwiches and lots of fruit.

Samuel greatly enjoyed the fruit! He kept on putting his little hands in the bowl and pulling out a huge piece that he would then try to fit in his tiny mouth! It was fun to watch. Gigi can up with a wonderful idea of making his own bowl with the lid. Samuel thought this was a great idea! And I agree because he thought he was getting it for himself but I was really controlling the size of the pieces.

Once we were all stuffed we went to sit under the gazebo. We needed shade! Though it was in the 70s the sun was shining down and making us a little too warm. :) Plus Samuel was getting a little red and we were not sure if it was from the heat or sun burn. (Turns out he was just too hot) Samuel thought the gazebo was great fun because he got to get down and crawl around! He also thought it would be fun to ram his head into the ground but he soon found that not to be true! The ground was concrete! OUCH! This was very upsetting to him and left him with a little mark on the forehead.

Have no fear it didn't take long to distract him from the pain by letting him look out the bars. Aunt Liz and I went down and took pictures of his cute little face looking out the bars. In this picture Samuel is showing Gigi something very interesting but all Gigi wants is a hug!

Samuel didn't like the water much but he did enjoy the giant sand box! This sand box had sticks and rocks and all kinds of yucky things that he thought were great for putting in the mouth! Too bad Mom had to ruin all the fun by taking them away!
It was a wonderfully fun day! The best way to spend it if you ask me!

Lego Crazy!

On Tuesday Dad decide Samuel needed to sit in the Lego bucket! It was very crazy. Casey first put the bucket on his own head and Samuel thought that was very funny! Then the bucket was put on Samuel's head. That too was fun for Samuel. After that Samuel wanted to sit in it(Says Casey) :)

Samuel found it very silly. We would put the legos in the bucket and he would throw them out! Then we knocked the bucket over and out spilled legos and Samuel!

Playing with the legos is more fun when you are not in the bucket we decided. :)

Suprise Aunt Liz!

Not only did we all go see Oma yesterday but we also gave Aunt Liz a surprise birthday party! It was a Stevie B's Pizza in Acworth. We left Oma's around 4pm because Jonathan had told Elizabeth that he wanted to go on a date so she needed to be home by 6:15pm. On the way to drop her off at Jonathan's house one of Elizabeth's friends called Momma's cell phone! Momma tried to play it off by telling Elizabeth that Caitlyn her by mistake.

It all worked out and she said she thought that we were planning this but she wasn't expecting it to be last night. You see, she had overheard Daddy telling Jonathan about the party when they were visiting her in Florida! Oh well, it was still lots of fun and she was a little surprised. The main reason we wanted to throw her a party was because she has missed her friend so much while at school.

About 20 people turned up to say "Happy Birthday!". The pizza and Publix cake with strawberries in the middle were very good and everyone enjoyed themselves greatly!

Neither Momma or I thought to get a candle so the guy from Stevie B's gave us a tiny little ice cream cone candle! It was so cute! We tried to sing fast so the candle won't melt all over the cake but it turned out very bad! I think that it was the worst song I have ever heard! :)

It was great night and to top it all off Samuel stayed awake until 9:45pm and only got a little sad once. Then Gigi took him and he had a lot of fun trying to touch her teeth. They both were cracking up! I just had to get a picture of that!

Lemon Head

Yesterday Gigi, Aunt Liz, Samuel, and I went to visit Oma. At lunch Samuel was getting bored so I decided to see if he would eat a lemon. Last time I tried it he didn't like it and kept on pushing it away from him. But this time he liked it! He would make a really funny face like he hated it but then he would open his mouth for more! :) It was great fun. We all had a good laugh at this.

We belong in the Zoo!

On Thursday we all went to Zoo Atlanta! It was Samuel's first trip too see all of the fun animals. He loved it! Our first stop was to see the baby Panda. Her name is Mei Lan. She was born in September here in the Atl. Her parents are on loan from China and we are paying 1.5 million dollars for 10yrs! Wow can you believe that! She will only be her a few more months before she has to go to China to live.

Here she is posing for all of her visitors. She was super cute! The guide said that she loves to climb up on the tree branches but she has a hard time getting down once she is up there. :) You can watch her live at zooatlanta.com. I have done this a few times. Every time I see her she is up there.

After we saw the Pandas we went to the petting zoo. Here Samuel got to pet a goat and a furry pig (as seen above). He found it very odd. He reached out touched the pig and then quickly with drew his hand. He looked up at us like, "I am not sure I want to do that again." The pigs were grunting and it was fun to hear them. I think he was thinking, "These doggies are making some strange noises!"
Casey took me and Samuel's picture here watching the Elephants. One was eating hay and Samuel would point to it and talk. It was so cute!

Here is a picture of a momma Gorilla with her 2 babies. They were probably the most fun to watch because this momma didn't want her babies playing with the other babies that were near by. The little ones wanted so badly to go play with the others but there was momma saying no way! One would start to get away and she would grab it by it's leg and sling it up onto her back! One time they both got away and momma took off to get her babies. She yanked them up so fast. You could she that she had had enough! She put them both on her back and jogged away. No more! She was done! The other 2 babies just kept on playing, their momma was close by but she didn't seem to care what they did. It was funny because I could see how some think that we were once monkeys because I could see human mommies doing the same thing at parks with their kids. Some moms think their kids are too good to play with the other kids and then there are the moms who say go have fun. It is amazing what God has created for us to enjoy!

One cool dude in the sand

On Tuesday Alle came over to play in the sand with Samuel. They had a great time! The sun was so shiny that I felt Samuel needed to wear his sunglasses from Gigi. I was really amazed how he kept them on the whole time! He also wore them to Wal-Mart earlier that day and he liked them then too. Alle was so fun to watch because she loved eating the sand! Hand full after hand full! She ate so much you could hear her crunching down on it! Courtney and I just laughed and I said that if she didn't stop soon we wood need to refill the sand box!
